Connecting Ranchers with Consumers
RanchMeat.com allows ranchers to list animals to sell to consumers for free. It all starts with a Ranch Profile, which gives sellers a way to talk about their philosophy on raising animals, their ranching practices, and anything else a consumer might want to know about them. Once the listing is live, the RanchMeat team gets to work marketing those listings to a large pool of buyers across the US.
The service is free to join so ranchers with an inventory of any size can try it out. Plus, ranchers can participate at any time of the year since it works around existing marketing plans.
“This community was built with ranchers and buyers in mind, and we’re excited to be part of it. We’ve seen the success of other direct-to-consumer meat businesses but couldn't compete with those 'big guys' without a platform like RanchMeat.” — RanchMeat Seller
RanchMeat's two goals are to help ranchers increase direct-to-consumer sales and to empower consumers to learn more about where their food comes from because—despite growing farm-to-table lifestyle trends—fewer and fewer people know the history of their food these days. RanchMeat aims to change that.
“People used to have relationships with their farmers and ranchers, and RanchMeat is trying to get us back to that, which I appreciate. Everybody should know something about where their food comes from, now I can.” — RanchMeat User
RanchMeat plans to develop new ways to help ranchers grow their direct-to-consumer sales by adding new features and expanding outreach efforts. If you’re interested in selling through RanchMeat, visit www.ranchmeat.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
